Merrylee Primary School's Rob Gourley,P6, won a silver medal for the 600 metres at the recent Glasgow Athletics Championships at Linwood Sports Centre. Stewart Neil, also from P6 qualified for the finals - quite an achievement for both of the boys.
Kane Henderson and Dennis McLoughlin, also both P6, won 2nd place in the West of Scotland k'nex challenge beating pupils up to P7 from all over the West.
They also participated in the Scottish finals at Glasgow University and were told they achieved 3rd place. On both of the occasions the boys won prizes for themselves and for their school.
